Child Psychology Specialist
Klaris Leung joined ChildUp in September 2007 as Child Psychology Specialist and is active in the areas of research, program design, workshop facilitation and parent consultation.
Klaris has been conducting research mainly on children’s early language development for over 6 years. She is well experienced in developing testing tools for child language development and administering testing for children.
Apart from a wide range of language studies, she has conducted her undergraduate dissertation on maternal beliefs about developmental milestones among mothers from four nations.
After receiving her Master’s degree in social work, Klaris worked as a school social worker to provide individual and group counseling services for students identified with developmental and educational needs. Aside from catering counseling services for students, she has also co-led many different activities and education workshops for parents.
Klaris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree of Social Science in Social Work from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is also a Registered Social Worker at the Social Workers Registration Board in Hong Kong.
