It’s trendy: a lot of parents use timeouts to discipline their toddlers.

When you encounter a problem, do you put it out of your view, waiting for some miraculous solution to happen? Well, sending your child for a while into a so called naughty corner or naughty chair is not an efficient way to teach discipline. A better option is to explain firmly to your child why some behaviors are simply not acceptable in our society.

With enough patience and explanations, any child will learn much more and faster in front of you than alone in any weird “isolation place”.
