– According to a recent research from Northwestern University conducted by Dr. Viorica Marian, learning a second language early has many benefits. The study showed that bilingual speakers are better at recognizing the correct word among a series of similarly sounding competing words, for example. But not only.

– Besides allowing us to communicate with more people, practicing other languages prepare our brain to process other challenging tasks – making us smarter. “Using another language provides the brain built-in exercise,” said Marian, adding: “Even minimal knowledge of a second language is advantageous.”
