A new study of the Peabody Research Institute at Vanderbilt’s Peabody College for education and human development shows that positive interactions in the classroom are essential to the future academic development of 4-year-olds. Lack of self-regulation skills, like the ability to pay attention, control effort and stay on task, may impede learning.
