– According to a new study, a forgotten language that was heard only for a short period during infancy, and only partially learned, will leave a long-lasting impression on the adult brain. Those results confirm the conclusions of previous studies that already highlighted the critical importance of language learning for a child in the early years.

– In principle, by the time they are 5 years old, almost all children are able to master any language they may be exposed to. Brain research has shown that all infants living anywhere in the world are born with a determined set of syntax and grammar rules, supporting the concept of a “universal language.”
