Change your Mindset: The Intelligence of your Child Is NOT Fixed at Birth!

- According to an old and persistent common belief, human intelligence is inborn, predetermined by genetics. No matter how much we study or how hard we work, our mind would be immutable. This cultural notion was radically challenged by Carol Dweck, a professor of psychology at Stanford University, in her famous book "Mindset: The New Psychology of Success" - the result of 30 years of research.

- Until the last century, even experts in the field believed that the brain stopped growing at a certain age, much like our body. But scientists have recently discovered that, in fact, the human brain continues to develop and adapt all its life. Neurons (the brain cells) grow when they are used, and more synaptic connections are created through experience. Instead of a static organ, the brain is a vibrant machine, capable of adaptation, plasticity and improvement, especially during the early years.
